Nuggets Sign Ryan Nembhard To Two-Way Contract

DENVER, CO (Oct. 1, 2026) – The Denver Nuggets have signed guard Ryan Nembhard to a two-way contract, Ben Tenzer, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, and Jonathan Wallace, Executive Vice President of Player Personnel, announced today. In a related move, the Nuggets have requested waivers on two-way guard KJ Simpson.
Nembhard, 5-11, 180, appeared in 60 games (27 starts) for Dallas as a rookie last season, averaging 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 19.5 minutes per game. Last season as a rookie, he registered four double-doubles, scored 10+ points 13 times and dished out 10+ assists six times. Nembhard posted a career-high 28 points to go with 10 assists vs. Denver on 12/1 and handed out 23 assists vs. CHI on 4/12 to become just the 24th player in NBA history to record 23-or-more assists in a game.
The 23-year-old native of Ontario, Canada went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft after playing four years collegiately, his first two for Creighton and his final two for Gonzaga. He was named NABC Pacific District First Team in 2025 and Big East Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2022.
Nembhard will wear #9 for the Nuggets.
